fighting on our knees.
One of my favourite bible stories is that of the Israelites journey into the promised land, the land of abundance. The very beginning of their journey is lined with stories in which beautiful treasures of wisdom lie. Right now what I'm going through has made me realise that the Israelites did not only have to fight for occupancy of the promised land, but once they'd become its inhabitants they had to fight to retain it. Enemies tried to stop them from entering the promised land and once they lived in the land there were nations coming against them trying to drive the israelites out of the land. But throughout the first testament we see that aslong as these people (Israelites) remained in obedience to God, the lord Jesus fought for his people and he'd always win victory for them. One of my favourite stories where the lord Jesus fights and wins for the Israelites is in 2 chronicles 20. Today we fight on our knees through prayer, and romans 8:37 say we are more than conquers through christ Jesus.Dont think you can rest once you've recieved your blessing, even though the Israelites had occupied the promised land, enemies tried to steal the land away. The bible says satan is a thief (John 10:10) ask God to protect your blessings just as he did for the nation or Israel.
